Selection Methodology
Every bird is evaluated by a composite selection index (IS) that combines three dimensions:
Phenotype
Conformation, color and live weight. How close the bird is to breed standard.
Reproduction
Fertility, hatchability and laying rate. The productive performance of the bird.
Adaptation
Rusticity, temperament and health. How well the bird thrives under real field conditions.

Genetic Principles
Never sacrifice type for color. Color fixes in 3-4 generations. Type takes 5-7.
Every selection decision at Gallora follows this hierarchy: conformation and type first, then reproductive performance, lastly color and aesthetic details. A bird with perfect color and poor type is culled. A bird with excellent type and off-color stays in the program.
All crosses are documented with parents, expected genotypes and observed results. No cross is repeated from memory — everything is recorded in the system.
